Time Commitment:
Pre-Season Responsibilities:
In-Season Responsibilities:
Necessary Attributes:
- Pre-season (March-May), 2-4 hours per week
- Guiding vendors through the application process, vendor payment, and Board of Health approval (if necessary)
- During the season (June 9 - October 6):
- 6 hours per week at the market, including set-up and break down
- Up to 4 hours answering emails, communicating with Board of Directors
Pre-Season Responsibilities:
- Recruit new vendors
- Obtain commitment from returning vendors
- Work with Webmaster to make updates to the website for the upcoming season
- Manage vendor paperwork
- Send all initial payment information and vendor contact information to the treasurer
In-Season Responsibilities:
- Generate each week’s market map and send to that week’s vendors and Board of Directors
- Get equipment trailer to the site of the market
- Manage the weekly set up
- Check in with each vendor to ensure they are doing well and listen to any concerns
- Make sure the Market Table is always covered
- Manage the end of Market breakdown
- Attend Board of Directors meetings as able
